Type of Position: Full Time
Working under the direction of the Local Food Business Director, the Local Food Distribution Coordinator will be required to perform extensive cold calling to:
- Develop partnerships with food entrepreneurs
- Develop relationships with regional buyers
- Coordinate deliveries and back-hauling opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations
- Promote 30 Mile Meal Huntington as a brand
- Assist with implementation of an online food ordering system
- Perform other activities as directed to help grow the local food system in our region
*** This is a 2 year grant funded position***
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Cold calling experience with proven results
- Marketing experience in the food industry is preferred
- Effective salesperson who is able to articulate the value of the services offered and committed to exceeding client’s expectations
- Detail-oriented and numbers-oriented
- Experience with logistics and scheduling
