Helping local farmers create and profit from farm-based tourism opportunities is the idea behind West Virginia University Extension Service’s new Agritourism Initiative – Potomac Highlands, a training program for aspiring and beginning agritourism operators across the state.

A reduced rate of $30 for the cost of the entire course package is available to distance learners. IParticipants are required to attend all sessions: Saturday March 4, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm; Tuesday March 14, 5:30 – 9 pm; Tuesday March 28, 5:30 – 9 pm; Tuesday April 11, 5:30 – 9 pm and Saturday April 22, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
