The Market@1650

The Market@1650 is a year-round farmers market with fresh, locally grown produce and food staples, along with a local artisan shop located at 1650 8th Avenue, Huntington, WV. It is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We accept EBT, Credit Card, Debit Card, Cash, WV Senior Farmer’s Market Vouchers, WIC Farmer’s Market Vouchers, & Kid Market Vouchers.

Food Business Incubation

Community Kitchen Program

Participants in our Food & Farm Incubation Program have access to the following services in our health department-approved consignment kitchen located in our business incubator building at 1650 8th Avenue:

  • Use of UFI community kitchen to help incubate your food business. (See rates)
  • Application for Kitchen
  • 1:1 Business Coaching to help start & set-up your food business
  • Commercial refrigeration space (See rates)

Application for Healthy Foods Kitchen Program. (There is a 50$ annual fee)

Urban Agriculture Training Program

In collaboration with Coalfield Development Corp., and WV Workforce Region 2 we offer 33 hours per week of paid on-the-job training in Regenerative Urban Agriculture.   Crew members spend 30 hours per week learning regenerative agricultural techniques for growing food in urban gardens and high tunnels for six months.

Crew members have three hours per week of paid personal development time to build workplace and life skills that improve workforce readiness.  If you’d like more information about our OJT training programs, please contact shauntelle@unlimitedfuture.org.

Blue Thistle Fibers is a small-batch, naturally dyed textile company based in Huntington, WV. We offer Yarns, Fabrics, Raw & Carded Wool, Knitwear, and other Fiber products, all dyed by hand with natural dyes. You can find our fibers at our fiber studio (1650 8th Avenue, Huntington), in West Virginia Independent Yarn stores, and online.

Through its FASTER WV Initiative, Unlimited Future, Inc. partners with Advantage Valley to provide FREE one-on-one business coaching for residents in Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Clay, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Putnam, Mason and Wayne Counties.

Participants that have completed UFI Business Basics course and receive free one-on-one business coaching have access to capital through a dedicated FASTER WV Loan Fund to start or grow a business

UFI provides one-to-one business coaching for aspiring and existing genre fiction writers (Mystery, Thriller, Romance, Sci-Fantasy, Fantasy).

The Market@1650 is the only fresh, healthy food resource for the Fairfield community. Donations to the market will allow us to keep food, fruit, and vegetable prices low for our neighbors who rely on federal food support.
